Join us the fourth Friday of every month for a film screening, discussion and snacks! This month we are screening Casablanca.
Director Michael Curtiz' Casablanca (1942, rated PG, 1 hr 42 mins) follows Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), a nightclub owner and expat trying to live out a quiet existence in French Morocco. Upon discovering that his old flame, Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), Rick struggles with his past resentment and love towards Ilsa. In the meantime, Rick plays a cat-and-mouse game with the Nazis as they try to close in on Victor, a famed rebel with a notorious reputation for evading capture and death. Will Rick leave the past behind and help Ilsa and her husband? Or will he succumb to retaliatory means to keep the woman he loves from leaving him again?
