Crafting with Adults: Sunflower Embroidery with EGA In-Person
Improve your crafting abilities with the Paso Robles City Library’s monthly craft series! The library is happy to offer an opportunity for those registered to learn more advanced embroidery techniques to take their stitching to the next level. This in-person class is provided by members of the local chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA). To participate in this class, sign up October 11-25. Light refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring a lunch.
The sunflower is an ancient symbol of faith and devotion; stitch this beautiful flower and learn why it's celebrated in many cultures around the world. You will learn silk ribbon work, adding texture with spiral chain stitch, and multi-wrapped and layered French knots, adding to your overall stitching expertise. You will receive all the materials and instruction necessary to complete your beautiful sunflower embroidery piece. Instruction will be provided by members of the Embroiders’ Guild of America, whose goals are to inspire a passion for needle arts and to celebrate its heritage. This class is perfect for intermediate and advanced crafters.
