Drum Circle with Lee Von Strand @ Library In-Person
As part of the Paso Robles City Library’s Summer Reading Program “Library on Tour,” you now have an opportunity to make music by joining our July Drum Circle. Offered at the Library on Wednesday, July 16 from 5:30-7:00 pm, this event features the percussive talents of Lee Von Strand who will guide you through this rhythmic experience allowing you to try out several different drums and other percussion instruments.
Drum Circles are gatherings of people who play drums and other percussion instruments in a circle. They are usually facilitated by a guide, and this year the Library is pleased at have Lee Von Strand in that role. Lee started playing drums at the age of 5 and has worked in the music industry for over 40 years as an award-winning performer, producer, technician and adviser. His professional experience includes live shows, recording sessions, television and motion pictures. He is the artist liaison for DW drums and LP Percussion and was the founder of Cascade Studios in Hollywood, California and Cascade Studios and Austin Backline Company Austin, Texas.
