All About Service Dogs

All About Service Dogs In-Person

The Paso Robles City Library is happy to partner with SLO Service Dog Awareness for an informative presentation that will answer all your questions about service dogs. This presentation will be helpful for local business owners, those who may be considering acquiring a service dog, and others who want to understand the role of the service dog in our society. And yes, there will be an actual service dog assisting his owner, John Crippen, with his presentation.

As more and more dogs are being taken into businesses, restaurants, and other public places, questions regarding the role of the service dog are being raised. Crippen, with some help from his service dog Ranger, will present information on what exactly a service dog is (and is not), where service dogs are allowed to go, the difference between service, therapy, and emotional support dogs, what type of training service dogs must have, how someone qualifies for and acquires a service dog, and much more.
